The girl who liked to sing

Once upon a time, there was a girl who liked to sing. She sang while she read a book. She sang while she studied. She sang while she worked around the house. She sang while she cooked.

Her mother stopped her: "Don't you know what the old people say? You shouldn't sing in front of the stove. If you do, you'll marry a widower someday."

Yet she didn't listen to her mother's words. She continued singing even while she was cooking. "What's wrong with marrying a widower?" she thought.

What she didn't know was that for her love story with a widower to happen, it would mean someone had to die first and another one would be terribly sad about it.

But the God of the Universe said, "There can't be too many unfortunate things happening in the world." 

So that girl who liked to sing sang alone for the rest of her life.
